Pokémon GO and MLB Partner for In-Stadium Gameplay
Get ready for a home run! Pokémon GO and Major League Baseball (MLB) have teamed up to bring augmented reality gameplay to select MLB ballparks. This exciting collaboration adds officially branded PokéStops and Gyms to participating stadiums, enhancing the fan experience.
Special Events and In-Game Rewards
Announced on February 12, 2025, the partnership kicks off on May 9th and runs through September 7th, 2025. Attending fans can expect:
- Club-branded merchandise.
- Exclusive in-game avatar items.
- Timed Research tasks rewarding Pokémon encounters.
- Raid Battles with opportunities to catch Pokémon featuring unique location backgrounds.
The initial lineup of participating teams begins with the Cleveland Guardians and concludes with the Texas Rangers. A complete schedule is available on the official Pokémon GO news website. While the collaboration is generating excitement, some fans have expressed concerns about data congestion during these events and the exclusion of certain MLB teams.
Pokémon GO Tour: Unova - Los Angeles Meet-and-Greet
The Pokémon GO Tour: Unova - Los Angeles event is adding another layer of excitement with planned meet-and-greets featuring popular Pokémon GO influencers.
Ticket holders will have the chance to connect with community favorites including AwesomeAdam, PokeDaxi, The Trainer Club, JTGily, ZoëTwoDots, Keibron Gamer, Landoralpha, and Couple of Gaming. These meet-and-greets will take place daily from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm PST. However, Pokémon GO advises that lines may be limited.
In response to recent wildfires, safe community meetup locations are being provided, coordinated by Local Community Ambassadors. Details on these meetups can be found on the Pokémon GO news website.
