Monster Hunter Wilds Open Beta Part 2
Includes A New Monster To Hunt
Missed the excitement of the initial Monster Hunter Wilds Open Beta last year? No worries! A second Open Beta Test is scheduled for the first two weeks of February, offering another chance to experience the game before its official launch on February 28th, 2025. The game's producer, Ryozo Tsujimoto, shared this exciting news via a video on the Monster Hunter official YouTube channel.
The second Open Beta Test will be split into two sessions: the first from February 6th to February 9th, and the second from February 13th to February 16th. Players on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S can join in the fun. This time, the beta includes new content, including the chance to hunt the iconic Gypceros, a monster familiar to fans of the series.
Character data from the previous beta can be carried over, and it will also transfer to the full game upon release. However, game progress will not be retained. As a thank you for participating, beta testers will receive exclusive rewards: a decorative Stuffed Felyne Teddy to attach to your weapon or Seikret, and a special bonus item pack to aid you in the early stages of the full game.
"We've heard from many of you that you missed the first beta or wanted another go, so we're excited to offer a second Open Beta," said Tsujimoto. "Our team is hard at work to ensure the full game meets your expectations." While the developers have shared pre-launch community updates via YouTube, detailing ongoing improvements, these changes won't be included in the second beta as they're still in development.
Mark your calendars! Monster Hunter Wilds will launch on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S on February 28th, 2025. Get ready to embark on your hunting adventures, Hunters!
