Surprise! NetEase Thunder Fire has unveiled Blood Message, an exhilarating action-adventure game that channels the spirit of wuxia in a style reminiscent of Uncharted.
Billed as a "story-driven, single-player action-adventure set in ancient China," Blood Message will leverage "cutting-edge technology to enhance immersion in an epic blockbuster experience."
Players will embark on a deeply emotional journey, anchored in cinematic storytelling, with intense, realistic combat that blends stealth and survival mechanics. You’ll explore diverse landscapes spanning eastern and central Asia.
Blood Message is an upcoming third-person linear action-adventure from 24 Entertainment Studio and NetEase Thunder Fire. It tells a forgotten tale of loyalty and survival in which players join the Dunhuang uprising, stepping into the role of an unnamed messenger and his young son in this immersive third-person adventure.
"Caught in a righteous rebellion and torn between family and country, players must undertake a dangerous journey eastward to deliver a message that could decide the fate of their war-ravaged homeland," reads the game’s description. "Amid the shifting sands of history, they will carve a final testament to loyalty."
"From knowing nothing about this game five minutes ago, it’s now at the top of my wishlist. It looks absolutely incredible!" one impressed fan commented on YouTube. Another added, "I definitely see elements of Uncharted and the Tomb Raider reboot here, and I’m loving it!"
Blood Message is slated for release on PC and consoles, though a specific launch window has yet to be confirmed.
