Netmarble's popular action RPG, King of Fighters ALLSTAR, is closing its doors this October. The announcement, made on the official Netmarble forums, confirmed the game's shutdown on October 30th, 2024. In-game purchases have already been disabled since June 26th, 2024.
The reasons behind the closure remain somewhat unclear. While the developers hinted at a potential lack of new fighters to add, this likely isn't the sole factor. The game, despite enjoying a successful six-year run and boasting millions of downloads, experienced recent optimization issues and crashes, potentially contributing to the decision. Despite these setbacks, players consistently praised the game's impressive animations and engaging PvP battles.
If you haven't yet experienced King of Fighters ALLSTAR, you still have approximately four months to jump in and enjoy its legendary fighting game crossovers. Download it from the Google Play Store before the servers shut down in October.
