NieR: Automata's opening throws players into 2B's mission. After deploying your flight unit and engaging in melee combat, you'll acquire a one-handed and a powerful two-handed sword – the Virtuous Treaty. This weapon is temporarily lost after the prologue but easily reacquired in the next chapter once free-roaming is unlocked.
Where To Find the Virtuous Treaty in NieR: Automata
This early-game weapon is located near your initial spawn point after exiting the bunker. Upon landing in the city ruins, descend to the lower area. To your left, you'll spot a highway above the nearest access point. Proceed towards the highway, utilizing the ruins to climb onto the road. Following the highway will lead you back towards the factory.
Descent into the factory and follow the grassy path towards the main structure. On the left, you'll find another access point with stairs leading upwards. Look to the left in this upper area; you'll see the destroyed bridge where you fought the Goliath. The Virtuous Treaty is embedded in the ground at the bridge's edge, ready to be retrieved.
Your discarded body lies just beyond the sword to the right, allowing you to recover any remaining consumables from the prologue.
Virtuous Treaty Stats in NieR: Automata
- Attack: 300-330
- Combo: Lt 2 Hv 2
Typical of two-handed weapons, the Virtuous Treaty excels at wide-sweeping attacks, dealing significant damage to multiple enemies. However, its attack speed is slower than other weapons. Upgrades can potentially make this one of the game's highest-damage weapons, provided you adapt to its slower attack speed. You can also strategically incorporate it into combos with faster weapons using heavy attacks, maximizing damage output while mitigating the slow attack speed.
