LEGO and Nintendo have teamed up to produce some fantastic LEGO Nintendo sets. Last year saw the release of the impressive, moving Mario and Yoshi set, along with the first-ever LEGO Legend of Zelda set. While these are excellent, many other iconic Nintendo franchises remain untapped.
Currently, the market is dominated by a wide range of Mario sets (including Donkey Kong) and a decent selection of Animal Crossing sets. However, the lack of representation from other franchises leaves many fans, myself included, wanting more. Therefore, I ask: which Nintendo franchise deserves the LEGO treatment next?
AnswerSee ResultsWhat Do You Think? The upcoming Switch 2 and Nintendo's continued investment in film (the new Mario movie and the eventual live-action Zelda adaptation) suggest a strong likelihood of more LEGO Nintendo sets. Personally, I believe Metroid presents the most exciting potential. With Metroid Prime 4 on the horizon, the timing seems perfect for some incredible LEGO builds. Beyond that, I'd love to see genuine LEGO Pokémon sets, rather than the existing MEGA sets, although I understand the licensing complexities with Mattel and The Pokémon Company might make this unlikely.
