The official unveiling of the RTX 50 series, including the RTX 5090, is scheduled for Nvidia's CES 2025 keynote on January 6th. Codenamed Blackwell, this next-generation lineup represents a significant leap forward from the RTX 40 series, boasting over two years of development. Expect features like DLSS upscaling, ray tracing, and PCIe 5.0 support (on compatible motherboards). The RTX 50 series will directly compete with AMD's Radeon RX 9000 and Intel's Battlemage GPUs.
Inno3D's iChill X3 RTX 5090 Leak
Ahead of the official announcement, Inno3D, an Nvidia AIB partner, showcased its version of the RTX 5090: the iChill X3. This triple-fan card occupies more than three expansion slots. Packaging confirms the 32GB GDDR7 memory and the 575W power draw, a considerable jump from the RTX 4090's 450W.
