Albion Online's Rogue Frontier Update: Smugglers, New Weapons, and More!
Sandbox Interactive's medieval MMORPG, Albion Online, is preparing for its next major update, Rogue Frontier, launching February 3rd. This update introduces a thrilling new storyline centered around the Smugglers, a rebellious faction challenging the Royal Continent's authority in the lawless Outlands.
Outland Adventures:
The Smugglers have established hidden underground bases known as Smuggler's Dens, serving as vital hubs for players. These dens offer banking, repair services, and act as central points for navigating the Smuggler's Network, a sophisticated marketplace system connecting Outlands locations. Players can actively participate in the conflict between the Smugglers and Royal Guards, engaging in missions like rescuing captured Smugglers and delivering contraband.
Rewards for Loyalty:
By assisting the Smugglers, players can earn rewards from Maggy Slade, a mysterious trader residing in the dens. These rewards include a Smuggler's Vanity Set, a Smuggler's Cape (with a potion cooldown reduction ability), a Smuggler's Ring, and a new avatar.
New Gameplay Features:
The Rogue Frontier update introduces Kill Trophies, dropped by defeated players. The quality of the defeated player's loot directly impacts the chance of obtaining a trophy. Additionally, the update boasts stylish new weaponry:
- Rotcaller Staff: Summons a mist that repels enemies.
- Skystrider Bow: Allows levitation and ranged attacks from above.
- Forcepulse Bracers: Unleashes shockwaves during dashes.
