Max unveils an exciting new trailer for Peacemaker Season 2, immediately strengthening its Superman ties by showcasing Maxwell Lord, Hawkgirl, and Guy Gardner in the opening sequence.
The preview begins with Sean Gunn as Maxwell Lord, Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner/Green Lantern, and Isabela Merced as Kendra Saunders/Hawkgirl conducting a notably unimpressed interview with John Cena's Peacemaker for a potential superhero lineup. Needless to say, the encounter goes poorly, leaving Peacemaker visibly frustrated as he storms out.
This provides our first proper glimpse at supporting characters confirmed for James Gunn's upcoming Superman film.
Peace requires teamwork.

Peacemaker Season 2 launches August 21 following Superman's July 11 debut as DCU's third installment (after Creature Commandos kicked off the universe last year).
This rebooted cinematic universe from Gunn and co-CEO Peter Safran distances itself from the maligned DC Extended Universe (home to Justice League and Batman v Superman) while retaining select elements.
The show itself exemplifies this transition - Season 1 originated in the defunct DCEU, while Season 2 joins the reimagined DCU.
Gunn confirms continuity for "core aspects of Peacemaker's narrative", though specific carryovers between universes remain undefined. The entire original cast returns with John Cena leading alongside Frank Grillo's Rick Flag Sr., Freddie Stroma's Adrian Chase, and Danielle Brooks as Leota Adebayo.
The show's events will officially follow both Creature Commandos and Superman, with the Superman story directly impacting Peacemaker's plot.
