Persona 5: The Phantom X Releasing Globally
First Announcement From Western Account
Persona 5: The Phantom X (P5X) is set to broaden its audience with the launch of a new social media account focused on the upcoming English version. The release date could be unveiled during the livestream scheduled for May 15 at 7:00 AM PT on Atlus’ official western YouTube channel. The announcement was made via a Twitter (X) post on May 15.
Here’s the timetable for the livestream in different time zones:
The livestream promises to be an engaging event, featuring special guests from the game’s cast, including Kaede Hondo (voice of Motoha Arai) and Chika Anzai (voice of Yui). They will be joined by key figures from the development team: P5X Chief Producer Yohsuke Uda, Development Director Yusuke Nitta from ATLUS, as well as Development Producer Jun Matsunaga and Live Ops Director Yuta Sakai from SEGA.
Originally launched in select regions in April 2024, P5X has generated buzz about its potential Western release. The developers hinted at English localization plans during the game's first anniversary livestream. The official account teased, "The release date for Japan will surely be announced, but what about the West? Be sure to tune in and find out!"
Japanese Release Coming Soon
The livestream will also shed light on the Japanese (JP) release of P5X. During the game's first anniversary celebration, Atlus confirmed a Summer 2025 launch for Japan, with pre-registrations now open on the P5X JP website.
Sega Sammy Holdings, in their Fiscal Year 2025 Results Presentation on May 12, included P5X in their rollout schedule, targeting a release "In or after FY2026/3" (April 1, 2025, to March 31, 2026), specifically aiming for this summer.
