The gaming world is back in full swing after the holiday break! While the Nintendo Switch 2 remains anticipated, exciting news has dropped regarding a fan-favorite franchise. Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio recently unveiled new gameplay footage for Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, showcasing its pirate-themed expansion in Hawaii.
The presentation highlighted extensive ship customization, open-world sea exploration, thrilling naval battles, engaging mini-games, and diverse explorable locations. Goro Majima will feature dual combat styles: a nimble, speed-focused approach and a more aggressive style utilizing short swords and pirate weaponry.
Players can assemble a unique crew of allies to aid in battles, exploration, and treasure hunts. The game promises hidden islands and original side quests to discover throughout gameplay.
A significant announcement concluded the presentation: "New Game+" mode will be a free post-launch addition via a patch. This decision marks a positive change from the previous Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth release, where this feature was exclusive to the pricier edition, drawing criticism towards SEGA. This welcome news means we only have to wait approximately six weeks for the game's official launch.
