Author : Isabella May 14,2025

The Pokémon Company has taken a significant step to address the ongoing challenges fans face in acquiring the latest Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG) sets. In a recent statement, the company acknowledged the difficulties and confirmed that reprints are on the way to meet the high demand. This move comes in response to the issues surrounding the release of the latest set, Destined Rivals, which has been plagued by shortages, pre-order problems, and scalping activities. Other recent sets like Prismatic Evolutions and the Blooming Waters box have also been highly sought after, making them difficult to obtain.

In their statement on the official Pokémon website, The Pokémon Company (TPC) expressed awareness of the challenges fans are facing in purchasing certain Pokémon TCG products due to overwhelming demand. "We understand this inconvenience can be disappointing for fans, and we are actively working to print more of the impacted Pokémon TCG products as quickly as possible and at maximum capacity to address this," the statement explained. They assured fans that reprints would be available at participating retailers soon.

Moreover, TPC announced plans to maximize production for future TCG expansions to ensure better product availability right from the launch. They also committed to ongoing reprints of affected products to keep the stock replenished, including at the Pokémon Center.

In an indirect response to scalping, The Pokémon Company emphasized their commitment to a smooth purchasing experience at the Pokémon Center. They currently use a virtual queue system during high-traffic periods to prioritize fans. "We will continue to explore measures that help create the best possible experience for Pokémon Center customers," the company stated, expressing gratitude for the community's patience and support as they strive to deliver more Pokémon TCG products to fans.

With these assurances, fans are hopeful that collecting and playing the Pokémon TCG will become less stressful with the arrival of new sets. The Pokémon Company's proactive approach to addressing these issues is a promising sign for the future of the beloved game.
