May 2025 is shaping up to be an exciting month for Pokémon GO players, filled with a variety of events and raid opportunities. One of the highlights is undoubtedly the return of the Lake Trio to 5-Star Raids across multiple regions, adding a thrilling challenge for trainers worldwide.
What Does Pokémon GO Have in Store for May 2025?
Kicking off the month, Tapu Fini will be featured in Five-Star raids from May 1st to May 12th, bringing along its special move, Nature’s Madness, and the possibility of encountering its Shiny form.
Following that, starting on May 12th, the Lake Trio will make their much-anticipated return. Depending on your location, you'll have the chance to encounter Uxie in the Asia-Pacific region, Mesprit in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and India, and Azelf in the Americas and Greenland.
After the Lake Trio's departure, Tapu Bulu will take over Five-Star raids from May 25th to June 3rd, 2025, also featuring Nature’s Madness and its Shiny variant.
For those interested in Mega Raids, May offers an impressive lineup. Mega Houndoom will be available from May 1st to 12th, followed by Mega Gyarados from May 12th to 25th, and finally, Mega Altaria from May 25th to June 3rd.

The month kicks off with the "Growing Up" event from May 2 to 7, and a Mega Kangaskhan Raid Day on May 3rd. From May 10th to 18th, players can participate in the "Crown Clash" event, which includes a Dynamax Suicune Max Battle Weekend on May 10th and 11th.
Community Day is scheduled for May 11th, with the featured Pokémon yet to be announced. "Crown Clash: Taken Over" will run from May 14th to 18th, followed by a Shadow Raid Day on May 17th.
The "Final Strike: GO Battle Week" will take place from May 21st to 27th, and the May Community Day Classic is set for May 24th. The month will conclude with a Gigantamax Machamp Max Battle Day on May 25, 2025.
