Niantic has unveiled the exciting details for Pokémon GO Fest 2025, along with two additional January events. Let's dive into the information!
Pokémon GO Fest 2025: A Global Celebration
The Pokémon GO Fest 2025 will be a three-day extravaganza taking place in three global cities:
- Osaka, Japan: May 29th - June 1st
- Jersey City, New Jersey, USA: June 6th - June 8th
- Paris, France: June 13th - June 15th
Further event specifics will be revealed in March 2025. Remember, event details are subject to change, but we'll keep you updated.
This annual event offers exclusive in-game items, enhanced gameplay, and special bonuses. In-person attendees will enjoy unique city-specific experiences, including exclusive merchandise and community hubs. Rare Pokémon encounters, increased Shiny rates, and team lounges are all part of the excitement. Expect a similar format to previous years, with the potential for even more surprises!
Two More Pokémon GO Events in January 2025
Beyond the Pokémon GO Fest announcement, Niantic also announced two additional events for January 2025:

Fashion Week: Taken Over: January 15th, 12:00 pm – January 19th, 8:00 pm (local time). This event features Shadow Palkia, the debut of Shroodle and Grafaiai (hatchable from 12km Eggs), and other Shadow Pokémon encounters. Keep an eye out for a fashionably dressed Croagunk!

Shadow Raid Day (Ho-Oh): January 19th, 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm (local time). Participate in five-star Shadow Raids to catch Shadow Ho-Oh. A $5 USD ticket grants eight extra Raid Passes, increased Rare Candy XL chances, 2x Stardust, 50% more XP from Raids, and a boosted Shiny Ho-Oh encounter rate. Lucky trainers can even teach their captured Ho-Oh the signature move, Sacred Fire, using a Charged TM!
