When Is Pokémon TCG Pocket Dropping Space-Time Smackdown and Trading?
Mark your calendars! Starting January 29th, 2025, you can finally trade cards within Pokémon TCG Pocket. And the excitement doesn't stop there—brace yourself for the Space-Time Smackdown expansion launching just a day later, on January 30th, 2025. This update not only introduces trading but also revamps your digital binder and display board with stunning new covers featuring the legendary Pokémon Dialga, Palkia, and Darkrai.
Trading has been eagerly awaited by the community, and to get started, you'll need two new items: trade hourglasses and trade tokens. Keep in mind that you can only trade cards up to rarity levels 1-4 and ★1. For the initial rollout, you'll be able to trade cards from the Genetic Apex and Mythical Island expansions. The developers have assured us that more cards will become tradeable in future updates.
The Space-Time Smackdown expansion dives deep into the Sinnoh region, bringing two new booster packs centered around the Legendary Pokémon Dialga and Palkia. Alongside these, you'll discover new card illustrations and meet beloved characters like Lucario, the steel-and-fighting powerhouse, and the adorable Sinnoh starters: Turtwig, Chimchar, and Piplup.
