Flat2VR Studios has unveiled an exciting virtual reality adaptation of the classic trash shooter, Postal 2, which first graced gaming shelves 22 years ago. The announcement was accompanied by a debut trailer that captures the game's signature humor and chaotic gameplay, showcasing what fans can expect from this VR experience.
In the trailer, we follow the Dude as he gathers signatures to rally support for the development of Postal 2 VR. The developers later reveal some of the standout features of this remake, including a revamped shooting mechanic designed specifically for VR controllers, an updated user interface, and an enhanced mini-map system. These updates are set to elevate the gameplay experience, making it more immersive and interactive for players.
A dedicated Steam page for Postal 2: VR is now live, featuring screenshots, system requirements, and further details. To run the PC version, players will need at least Windows 10, an Intel Core i5-4590 or AMD Ryzen 5 1500X CPU, an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 or AMD Radeon R9 290 GPU, and 8 GB of RAM. While Russian voiceovers will not be included in this release, subtitles will be available to ensure accessibility for a broader audience.
Despite the modern enhancements, the core experience remains faithful to the original Postal 2. Players will still engage in everyday tasks such as grocery shopping and returning books to the library, but with the freedom to switch to absolute chaos at any moment, staying true to the game's notorious reputation for mayhem.
Postal 2 VR is set to be available on multiple platforms, including SteamVR, PS VR2, Quest 2, and Quest 3, ensuring that a wide range of VR enthusiasts can dive into the madness.
