The 2025 PUBG Mobile Global Open (PMGO) kicks off with a massive $500,000 prize pool and over 90,000 participants vying for glory. The Open Qualifiers, starting February 13th, provide a platform for aspiring players to showcase their skills and compete against established esports organizations.
This year's PMGO is unique in its focus on amateur teams, ensuring a spotlight on fresh talent. Teams featuring at least one Ultimate 500-ranked player from Cycle 7 Season 20 or 21 have already advanced to Round 2. Upcoming weeks will see intense competition for a coveted spot in the PMGO Prelims, where they'll clash with top teams from the Uzbekistan Offline Qualifiers.
Twelve teams will ultimately earn a place in the PMGO Main Event, facing off against the best professional PUBG Mobile players. Four professional teams—Regnum Carya, Nigma Galaxy, 4Merical Vibes, and Influence Rage—have already secured their spots based on their outstanding performance in the PMGC 2024. Four more will join from regional competitions such as the PMSL SEA Spring, PMGO Korea Qualifier, and the Peacekeeper Elite League Spring season.
The competitive schedule is as follows:
- Open Qualifiers: February 13th - March 2nd
- Prelims: April 10th-11th
- Main Event: April 12th-13th
This tournament marks the beginning of a thrilling year for PUBG Mobile Esports, with the PUBG Mobile World Cup and PMGC also on the calendar for 2025.
