- Unfail is an asymmetrical PvP mode of pursuit and survival
- The mode is scheduled for release in the Version 4.0 update
- Gameplay will be debuted at gamescom 2025 in Cologne
At gamescom 2025, PUBG Mobile will unveil its first-ever asymmetrical PvP mode, Unfail, introducing a refreshing new gameplay style. Part of the upcoming Version 4.0 update, this mode transforms the traditional battle royale experience into a high-stakes chase. Attendees in Cologne this week will get the world's first chance to play it at the PUBG Mobile booth in Hall 6.1.
Each Unfail match in PUBG Mobile is a five-player showdown. One player takes on the role of a Predator, wielding unique abilities to hunt down their opponents. The other four players are Survivors who must collaborate, activating terminals across the map to open an escape route before the Predator finds them.
Unfail is the headline feature of PUBG Mobile's Beyond Battle Royale showcase at gamescom. Visitors can not only play the new mode but also preview the Spooky Soiree theme coming in Version 4.0. This theme introduces eerie powers and mechanics that dramatically alter match dynamics, bringing a thrilling new layer to the combat.

The booth will also spotlight World of Wonder, PUBG Mobile's dynamic creation platform, with chances to build and experience custom scenarios live. Content creators will be present, leading interactive sessions and activities for the duration of the event.
