Author : Savannah May 12,2025

Respawn Entertainment, in partnership with Bit Reactor—a studio founded by former XCOM developers—will officially unveil their eagerly awaited Star Wars tactical strategy game on April 19, 2025. This exciting reveal will happen during the Star Wars Celebration event in Japan, offering fans a thrilling first look at the project.

The game was first confirmed in 2022, but since then, details have been sparse. Recent reports indicate that it's being developed with Unreal Engine 5 and will feature turn-based combat, promising players an immersive tactical experience set within the legendary Star Wars universe.

Despite significant layoffs at EA earlier this year, the developers reassured fans in March 2024 that the project remains on track and unaffected. The upcoming reveal is anticipated to include crucial details about the game, along with a potential trailer to showcase its gameplay and visual style.

According to the official event website, the presentation will include a developer panel hosted by Bit Reactor, Respawn Entertainment, and Lucasfilm Games. Scheduled from 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM local time on the Galaxy Stage, the session will give attendees an exclusive first glimpse of this highly anticipated turn-based tactical adventure. Fans are encouraged to tune in live to witness the unveiling of this exciting addition to the Star Wars gaming lineup.
