If you've been eagerly anticipating the Hong Kong cinema-inspired Showdown in Chinatown update for Reverse: 1999, the wait is finally over! Version 2.5, part one, is now live and brings with it exciting new additions, including both limited and five-star characters.
In Showdown in Chinatown, the notorious arcanist criminal Nightpiercer resurfaces in Los Angeles. Officer Liang Yue, assigned by the Vigiles Bureau, is tasked with working alongside the Division of Arcane Affairs to take Nightpiercer down once and for all.
Liang Yue, the new limited character, is available through the “Moonbeam Guardian” Dushuo Limited Banner. Along with Liang Yue, you can grab a free garment for the fan-favorite character, Windsong, available to all players. If you're aiming to snag these top-tier characters, you'll be thrilled to know that there are 40 free pulls up for grabs through various rewards and events.
There are also two new challenges to tackle, each offering special rewards. When the Alarm sounds and the board game-themed Critter Crash will be available until the 29th, rewarding you with everything from Limited Portraits to new garments.
The traditional Chinese-style dress that Liang Yue sports is inspiring a new garment series called Old Stories New Perspectives, available for characters like Jiu Niangzi, Tuesday, Sotheby, The Fool, and Windsong.
Keep an eye out for the new limited building, where you can collect Red Envelopes through tasks and minigames. These can be swapped for rewards, including 5-star insight coupons, portraits, and growth materials.
