Developer Nosniy Games has meticulously detailed these additions in the patch notes, marking today's update as a concise yet impactful enhancement to the game.
Although Update 9 may be on the smaller side compared to recent updates, it's clear that it's designed to keep players engaged and entertained. The Gunblade, a versatile weapon that serves both as a rifle and a giant blade, promises to shake up gameplay dynamics. Its dual functionality could be the key to outsmarting opponents, especially on the new Bridge map. This new arena, set in Seoul and created by @GreatGuyBoom, features a suspended concrete structure that forces players into immediate close-quarters combat, with minimal cover provided by concrete walls and a bus.
While the patch notes for Rivals Update 9 do not include specific bug fixes, balance adjustments, or quality-of-life enhancements, Nosniy Games has made it clear that the focus was on delivering the new map and weapon. The developers did make slight modifications to the skins of the Demon Shorty and Demon Uzi, and renamed some other items, such as the Hexxed Flare Gun, Hexxed Candle, and Hexxed wrap to Vexed counterparts.
