Following the fierce competition of last year, the Roland-Garros eSeries returns in 2025. Global players will once again compete on the virtual clay courts of Tennis Clash. This year's tournament features an exciting new team format, legendary tennis captains, and a prize pool of €5,000.
Renault and Mastercard return as primary sponsors. New for this edition, you can outfit your character in official Roland-Garros 2025 apparel and equip the special Renault 5 Roland-Garros string.
When Does It Start?
The action begins in March with open qualifiers, where players will battle for a place in the finals. There are three qualifying stages scheduled for March 6-11, March 20-25, and April 3-8 to identify the top contenders.
The leading female players from the first two qualifiers will secure their spots alongside the overall winners. The ultimate challenge takes place on May 24th at the Roland-Garros Tenniseum Auditorium, where finalists will compete before a live audience. The event will also be streamed live on Twitch.
What’s New This Year?
The 2025 Roland-Garros eSeries debuts a team-based competition, moving away from the individual format. Finalists will be drafted into teams, each captained by a major figure in French tennis. One captain has already been confirmed: Gilles Simon, former world No. 6 and Davis Cup champion.
Simon has been involved with the eSeries as a commentator since 2023 and even competed in last year's Top 8. This year, he will coach one of the squads. His opposing captain remains a mystery, though organizers have hinted it will be a Grand Slam champion.
Are You Excited for the Roland-Garros eSeries 2025?
Once the teams are finalized, the competition begins in earnest. The winning team from the initial phase advances into the double-elimination bracket from the winner's side, while the losing team enters from the loser's bracket.
Defending champion Alessandro "ΔLEX" Bianco returns to protect his title, joined by the two Grand Tour finalists. With 548,000 participants from 215 regions last year, this year's event is poised to be even more competitive.
