RuneScape’s RuneFest 2025, the first since 2019, was a massive celebration for fans and developers alike! The event showcased a wave of exciting new content, proving RuneScape's enduring popularity.
Old School RuneScape (OSRS) players were particularly spoiled. Three major updates were announced: Sailing, a brand-new skill introducing nautical vessels and gameplay; the challenging Yama boss, adding thrilling endgame content; and an HD upgrade, enhancing visuals while preserving the game's iconic low-poly style.
But the surprises didn't stop there! RuneFest 2025 also unveiled Project Zanaris, a modding platform for OSRS with playtests now open. Meanwhile, mainline RuneScape is getting a significant boost with the introduction of Leagues and the captivating new region of Havenhythe.
Havenhythe introduces a thrilling new vampire-themed storyline, complete with challenging bosses, unique locations, and fresh skilling activities and quests. This expansive addition promises countless hours of gameplay well into 2026.
