Exciting news for fans of farm life sim RPGs: My Time at Sandrock is making its way to mobile devices! The game, which hit the PC scene in 2023, is gearing up for its first-ever mobile beta test, exclusively on Android. Developed by Pathea Games and a sequel to the beloved My Time at Portia from 2019, this title is published by PM Studios and Focus Entertainment on Steam. For the mobile test in China, Conscience Studio is at the helm.
When Is the My Time at Sandrock Android Beta Test?
This upcoming beta test marks a significant milestone as it's the first time My Time at Sandrock will be playable on mobile devices. The developers are using this as a technical trial to ensure the game's expansive world translates well to the mobile format. They're still working on optimizing resource loading and other technical aspects, so some hiccups might be expected.
This exclusive Android beta test is set to run on the Haoyou Kuaibao platform in China. If you're in China and eager to participate, you can apply until January 22nd. The test itself will start on January 23rd. Keep in mind that any saves made during the beta will be wiped at the end. However, you'll have the chance to dive back into a fresh adventure after completing the initial 30 days of in-game content, which spans the first 13 chapters. Interested testers in China can find more details on the official beta test page.
What’s the Story?
Set in a post-apocalyptic desert 300 years after the Day of Calamity, which wiped out modern technologies, My Time at Sandrock places you in the shoes of Sandrock's newest Builder. Your role involves a mix of gathering resources, crafting machines, building relationships with the townsfolk, and even fending off monsters. The game's art style is delightfully quirky and charming, as you can see in the trailer below:
