Fans of *The Last of Us* have a thrilling spring ahead as HBO has announced that Season 2 will premiere on Sunday, April 13 at 9pm ET/PT. Not only will it air on HBO, but it will also be available to stream on Max. The season will consist of seven gripping episodes, and to ramp up the excitement, HBO has released new character posters featuring Joel, Ellie, and Abby.
Set five years after the harrowing events of the first season, *The Last of Us Season 2* continues the saga with Joel and Ellie now living alongside Joel's brother Tommy in their Montana commune. This season will delve into the narrative of *The Last of Us Part 2*, the second game in the series, so fans of the game will have a good idea of what's coming next.
Joining Pedro Pascal, who reprises his role as Joel, and Bella Ramsey, returning as Ellie, are several new cast members. Kaitlyn Dever will portray Abby, Isabela Merced will play Dina, Young Mazino will take on the role of Jesse, Ariela Barer will appear as Mel, and Tati Gabrielle will embody Nora. Notably, Gabrielle is also set to star as the main protagonist in Naughty Dog's upcoming game, *Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet*.

The first season of *The Last of Us* was a massive success for HBO, earning critical acclaim and numerous awards.
