The Sims franchise is marking its 25th anniversary with a bang, and while Electronic Arts has unveiled its celebratory plans, unexpected additions are still possible.
A recent Sims teaser hinted at the series' first two installments, sparking fan speculation about a potential revival. While unconfirmed, Kotaku sources suggest a digital PC release of The Sims 1 and 2, complete with all original expansion packs, may be announced by the end of the week by EA and Maxis Games.
The possibility of console releases, and their timing, remains uncertain. However, given the potential for nostalgic profits, EA is unlikely to forgo this opportunity.
The original Sims 1 and 2 are quite old, and currently, legal access to these games is extremely limited. Their return would undoubtedly thrill countless devoted fans.
