While many fans were not expecting an immediate release given the five-year gap between the first film in 2018 and the second in 2023, Jerome's comments confirm that Beyond the Spider-Verse is still some time away. When asked directly about the start of production, Jerome responded with a hopeful yet realistic, "No, I wish. We haven’t started up yet. A lot of things being figured out, but good things."
