To begin "For Science!", locate Yaryk Mongoose within the Central Elevator area in the Chemical Plant. Upon approaching, Mongoose will radio Skif, requesting a meeting at the building. Enter the Central Elevator, proceed left past the conveyor belts, ascend the rusted stairs, and vault the railing to reach Mongoose on the first floor. He'll explain the need to activate a second device on a silo, initiating the mission upon accepting his request.
- Reaching the Silo's Summit:
Exit Mongoose's room and climb to the building's roof. Dispatch any rodents encountered. Access the exterior via a broken window, descend the ladder to a walkway, and jump to the silos. Equip your bolt-action weapon to counter electro anomalies. Proceed left along the silo's top to activate the second measuring device.
- Dealing with the Bloodsuckers and Yaryk Mongoose:
Activating the device will attract Bloodsuckers. Choose to eliminate them or evade them to reach Mongoose. He'll explain the experiment's unintended consequences. Players can choose to kill Mongoose for endangering Skif or accept the reward peacefully. Both choices have no significant long-term impact. Choosing the peaceful option yields the Malachite Pass and coupons. The pass allows access to the STC Malachite base, unless already accessible through main missions.
