Aspyr's upcoming release of Star Wars Episode 1: Jedi Power Battles for modern consoles features a surprising new playable character: Jar Jar Binks. This addition to the already diverse roster is revealed in a new gameplay trailer showcasing Binks wielding a large staff.
The 2000 original featured iconic characters and locations from Episode I: The Phantom Menace. This updated version aims to capitalize on nostalgia while adding fresh content. Beyond lightsaber color customization and cheat code support, Aspyr is introducing numerous new playable characters.
The trailer highlights Jar Jar's chaotic combat style and distinctive voice lines. While some fans might have envisioned a Darth Jar Jar-esque portrayal, he'll instead utilize a staff. Binks will be playable upon the game's January 23rd launch; pre-orders are currently available.
