The narrative of World of Warcraft: The War Within continues. Beyond the Siren Isle update, Season 2 (anticipated for later 2025) promises new endgame content and the next chapter of this expansion. However, Patch 11.0.7 introduces several story quests crucial to setting the stage for Patch 11.1, centered around the Goblin capital, Undermine. A separate questline concludes the tragic story of Dalaran's destruction, though this won't be immediately available upon patch launch.
Updated January 7, 2025, by Paul Woodward: The recent campaign quests mark a significant turning point. Dalaran, a long-standing location in Warcraft lore, may never fully recover from the events of The War Within. The Dalaran Epilogue questline provides closure to this storyline and a fitting farewell to a once-important social hub in Wrath of the Lich King and Legion.

How to Begin the Patch 11.1 Prologue
Unlike the Dalaran Epilogue, the "Lingering Shadows" campaign begins immediately. Completion of the leveling or Level 80 campaigns isn't required. However, completing prior storylines is recommended to avoid spoilers and enhance understanding. The "Lingering Shadows" campaign comprises:

- Standing in the Way
- No Breathing Room
- Together, Alone
- The Voice
- Ringing in the Deeps
- Good Help These Days
- Hey, What's Going On?
- Haywired and Hostile
- Built to Blast
- Bat Versus World
- Found Friends
After "Found Friends," speak with Orweyna. While not part of the main campaign, her quest offers insights into future plot developments within The War Within or subsequent World Soul Saga expansions.
Unlocking the Dalaran Epilogue in World of Warcraft: The War Within
Initially, a three-week delay was in place for the Dalaran Epilogue. As of January 7th, this restriction has been lifted. To access this campaign, complete both the leveling campaign and the Level 80 campaign (requiring Renown Four with all four Khaz Algar factions).
If unsure of your progress, visit Foundation Hall (where Patch 11.1 prologue quests begin). If Khadgar is present (after January 7th), a quest will be available. His absence indicates unfinished campaign quests. The Dalaran Epilogue quest list is below:

Completing this unlocks the "Fate of the Kirin Tor" achievement and the "Witness of the Kirin Tor" title.
