Starting the Storm Quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

The “Storm” quest concludes the main missions in the Trosky Region, leading you to the Kuttenberg Region for the first time. Much like “For Whom the Bell Tolls,” you face tough odds at the outset. You start without armor, weapons, or items like Saviour Schnapps, and your health and stamina are reduced due to prior torture.

Begin by collecting gear from guards neutralized by Katherine during your prison breakout. Their equipment isn’t top-tier, but it’s better than nothing. Katherine also provides her dagger, enabling stealth kills. Your goal is to reach the top of the Crone in Trosky. Guards are spaced out along the path, allowing you to knock them out or use distractions to slip by unnoticed.

At the Crone’s peak, you confront Istvan Toth. This encounter doesn’t affect the best ending, so opting for a less honorable approach may be safer if your combat skills are lacking, given your low health. After dealing with Toth, search the room to recover everyone’s belongings and secure critical documents.

After handling Toth and retrieving your gear, return to the dungeon where your companions wait. They’ll equip their items and guide you through escape tunnels. Simply follow them—this is the quest’s easiest segment.

Navigating the Hills Stealthily in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

The “Storm” quest’s toughest challenge is sneaking through the hills. Keep your conspicuousness minimal to avoid detection by guards, who will summon reinforcements if they spot you. Your reduced stats from torture make stealth kills or knockouts harder, adding to the difficulty.

Take the rightward path and follow it uphill to a larger, guard-patrolled route. This path leads to Mika, who’s been captured. Sneak behind the guard, neutralize him, and free Mika. This secures your progress, and Mika provides directions to your next objective.

The final stretch demands prolonged stealth. Follow Mika’s map markers to proceed. Head east and southeast toward Apollonia’s main road, then move south, sticking to bushes to avoid guards. You only need to reach the midpoint of the marked area to trigger the final cutscene. Use stones to distract guards and slip past. Once the cutscene plays, your role in “Storm” ends, and you’ll transition to the Kuttenberg Region.

“Storm” is a rare quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 where stealth is mandatory. Prior stealth skill upgrades are invaluable, as related perks can significantly reduce the risk of detection.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is available now on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
