DC Studios has unveiled a thrilling new trailer for the upcoming Superman movie, directed by James Gunn and set to hit theaters on July 11, 2025. The three-minute trailer offers fans an exciting glimpse into the expansive universe of superheroes and villains that will populate this highly anticipated film.
The trailer showcases Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner, better known as Green Lantern, effortlessly dispatching foes with a casual flick of his hand. Isabela Merced brings Hawkgirl to life with her commanding presence, while María Gabriela de Faría delivers a captivating performance as The Engineer. Notably, it's revealed that The Engineer is responsible for the destruction of the robots, including Kelex, who care for Superman in the Fortress of Solitude—a plot point that was teased in a previous trailer where we saw a heartbroken Superman cradling the damaged Kelex.
Adding to the excitement, the trailer features Krypto the Superdog in action, bravely executing a flying punch at The Engineer during their confrontation. It's clear that Krypto isn't hesitant to get involved in the battle against evil forces.
The trailer also provides more screen time for Lex Luthor, portrayed by Nicholas Hoult, and introduces us further to Ultraman. We get extended looks at Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific and Anthony Carrigan as Rex Mason, aka Metamorpho. The newly introduced character, The Hammer of Boravia—believed to be Ultraman in disguise—makes a striking appearance, as teased in yesterday's trailer preview.

The relationship between Clark Kent and Lois Lane takes center stage, with Lois conducting an interview with Clark in his Superman persona. The conversation escalates into a heated argument about the ethics behind Superman's controversial decision to intervene in a war in Boravia. Superman defends his actions, asserting, "I wasn’t representing anyone except for me... and doing good!" This decision has consequences, as The Hammer of Boravia retaliates by attacking Downtown Metropolis.
In a powerful scene, a member of the public assists Superman out of a hole in the ground during the battle with The Hammer of Boravia. This moment of support contrasts sharply with other scenes where the public is shown reacting negatively to Superman, even throwing objects at him, highlighting the complex relationship between the hero and the citizens he vows to protect.
