Fantasian Neo Dimension: Unlocking the Tachyon Medal and NG+
Fantasian Neo Dimension plunges players into a breathtaking world alongside Leo and his companions as they confront Jas's devastating "Zero" plan. The game's captivating story and unique mechanics create an immersive experience. The Tachyon Medal, a crucial late-game item, is key to a challenging side quest and unlocks New Game Plus (NG+). This guide explains how to obtain and utilize this powerful artifact.
Locating the Tachyon Medal
The Tachyon Medal's acquisition is the culmination of a significant journey. The quest begins in Shangri-La, but the medal itself is found much later. Progress through the main story until you reach Sanctum, nestled within the God Realm, accessible via the Communication Network.
Within Sanctum's Mirror of Order, you'll face God's Predator, a formidable boss. This enemy frequently summons allies and utilizes "Consume," an attack capable of draining 90% of your health. Prepare Kina for extensive healing and consider equipping Petrification Null gear for an easier fight. Leo's Fire Samidare +2 and Cherryl's Concentrate/Charge combo can prove invaluable.
After defeating God's Predator, navigate to the Laboratory via the Balcony. Amongst the scattered debris, locate a chest to the right – it contains the Tachyon Medal.
Utilizing the Tachyon Medal: Unlocking NG+
The Tachyon Medal's true power lies in its ability to initiate NG+. To activate this feature, two prerequisites must be met: reaching the Altar in Shangri-La and completing the Cinderella Tri-Stars side quest.
The Cinderella Tri-Stars confrontations occur across eight locations, the first two integrated into the main storyline:
- En New District
- Midi Toy Box – Secret Room
- Royal Capital – Main Street
- Frozen Tundra – Center
- Hidden Valley – Duet Path
- Ancient Hill – River
- Nameless Island – Depths
- Shangri-La – Fallen City
Defeat these bosses in the presented order. Upon your final victory in Shangri-La, three chests will appear beneath the Altar. One holds the Holy Belt (All Ailment Null).
Opening all three chests activates a glowing door, prompting you to use the Tachyon Medal to reverse time. Possessing the medal initiates NG+, carrying over your levels, items, and equipment. While enemies are significantly stronger, this shouldn't pose a major challenge, especially if all side quests were completed prior to NG+. Successfully using the Tachyon Medal also awards the Time Reverse Trophy/Achievement, allowing you to embark on a new adventure to save the Human Realm.
