Tuxedo Labs has announced exciting updates for Teardown, their popular sandbox game. A highly anticipated multiplayer mode is on the horizon, launching alongside the new Folkrace DLC.
The Folkrace DLC significantly expands the single-player experience with fresh maps, vehicles, and thrilling racing challenges. Players can compete in diverse events, unlock rewards, and personalize their vehicles to conquer the tracks.
The multiplayer mode will initially debut on Steam's Experimental Branch, providing early access for players to test and provide valuable feedback. This open beta period is particularly crucial for the modding community, as updated APIs will allow seamless integration of existing mods into the multiplayer experience.
This multiplayer addition fulfills a long-standing goal for the developers and a major request from the Teardown community. The Experimental Branch launch allows for thorough testing and refinement before becoming a standard game feature. Simultaneous API updates ensure modders can quickly adapt their creations.
Beyond the immediate updates, Tuxedo Labs has confirmed that two more substantial DLCs are in development, with further announcements planned for later in 2025.
