Tiny Dangerous Dungeons Remake Launches on iOS, Android

Author : Jacob May 13,2025

The beloved classic platformer, Tiny Dangerous Dungeons, has made a triumphant return with its remake, now available on iOS and Android. This updated version brings a fresh graphical overhaul and numerous enhancements to the original Metroidvania-style platforming experience. While platformers may not be as dominant as before, their charm and challenge still find a cozy spot on mobile devices.

Interestingly, Tiny Dangerous Dungeons Remake pays homage to its retro roots in a unique way. The game has transitioned from the monochrome Game Boy style of black and green to a more vibrant, 16-bit console aesthetic, giving it the feel of a classic rerelease. Beyond the visual upgrade, the remake offers a thoroughly reworked and enhanced version of the original game, smoothing out previous rough edges.

However, our reviewer Jack Brassel pointed out a significant drawback: the absence of controller support. For a platformer of this genre, this can be a critical issue for many players, akin to my experience with Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. Fortunately, Tiny Dangerous Dungeons Remake is more forgiving in terms of difficulty, which might mitigate this concern for some.

Dungeon crawlingIf you're in the mood for pure platforming action with a sprinkle of Metroidvania flair, Tiny Dangerous Dungeons Remake is the perfect pick. The graphical upgrade allows you to immerse yourself in beautifully detailed pixel art, without taxing your device's performance.

The lack of controller support remains a potential downside, but there's hope that this might be addressed in future updates.
