Gacha game enthusiasts are always keeping a close eye on the financial performance of their favorite titles. The latest figures for January 2025 have been released, providing a fascinating glimpse into the industry's dynamics.

Last month, Genshin Impact rolled out a major update featuring the archon of pyro, with the banner spotlighting Mawuika drawing significant attention. According to the data, this update propelled miHoYo's (HoYoverse) flagship title to double its revenues, reaching an impressive $99.4 million compared to $45.6 million in December 2024.

Pokemon TCG secured the second spot with earnings of $64 million, while the beloved "female gacha" game Love and Deepspace claimed the third position with $55.2 million in revenue.

Meanwhile, Honkai Star Rail saw its earnings dip to $50.8 million, and Zenless Zone Zero experienced a significant drop, with its revenue halving from $57.9 million to $26.3 million.

It's worth noting that the rankings are based solely on mobile platform revenues. Some of these games, such as those from miHoYo, are also available on PC. Additionally, a key point in the calculation method is mentioned: “Since Google Play does not exist in China, the estimates published for Android data in China are determined using a multiplier based on iOS revenue in the country.” This nuance helps provide a more accurate picture of the market.
