The Capcom Pro Tour has concluded, revealing the 48 competitors for Capcom Cup 11. While the focus is usually on the players themselves, let's examine the character choices of the elite Street Fighter 6 competitors.
Following the World Warrior circuit, EventHubs compiled statistics on the most frequently used characters at the highest level of play. This data offers a valuable insight into the game's current balance. Remarkably, all 24 fighters saw representation, though only one player opted for Ryu out of nearly two hundred participants (including eight regional finalists from 24 regions). Even the recently added Terry Bogard was selected by only two players.
Dominating the professional scene are Cammy, Ken, and M. Bison, each chosen as a main character by 17 players. A significant gap separates this top tier from the next, which includes Akuma (12 players), Ed and Luke (both 11), and JP and Chun-Li (both with 10 players). Among the less frequently selected characters, Zangief, Guile, and Juri stand out, each serving as the main character for seven players.
Capcom Cup 11 is set for March in Tokyo, with the champion earning a prize of one million dollars.
