Torchlight: Infinite's next chapter, Season 8: Sandlord, is set to launch on April 17th, promising a significant overhaul and fresh content for fans of the action RPG. This season introduces the innovative Cloud Oasis, a new area where players can engage in economic gameplay, trading resources, managing workers, and overseeing production lines to construct their own aerial empire.
Thea, a returning character, brings a new twist with her Blasphemer trait. This season, she trades her divine powers for the curse of Desecration, which starts off weak but scales powerfully, enhancing Erosion damage based on her remaining blessing power. Players can further customize this trait for area-of-effect explosions or health-scaling effects, ideal for those who enjoy damage-over-time and synergy-focused builds.
Endgame content in Torchlight: Infinite has also been revamped. Deep Space now features five new stages, expanded maps, and more challenging enemies. A new system called Probes allows players to adjust the level of risk and reward, with the potential to unlock better loot, including Compass chests through the Compass Probe.
The update introduces a Blending System for belt crafting, enabling the fusion of Hero Traits, Talent nodes, and unique affixes into a single item slot, offering deeper build customization. Additionally, a new boss, Night Slayer – The Wilting Plume, has been added to the Plane Watcher and the 20th floor of Supreme Showdown.
To celebrate the launch, the Sands of Fortune anniversary event will run from April 17th to May 1st. Players can complete tasks, earn Gold Rush Attempts, and compete for a share of a $250,000 prize pool.
