Disney has revealed exciting updates about EPCOT's Test Track presented by General Motors at Walt Disney World Resort, confirming its reopening date as July 22, 2025.
According to Disney Parks Blog, this major revamp introduces a brand-new musical score and innovative scenes demonstrating how technology enhances both vehicle intelligence and everyday enjoyment.
A standout feature illustrates how modern vehicles utilize advanced cameras and sensors to perceive their surroundings, demonstrating autonomous navigation capabilities and the safety benefits of LiDAR technology.
Disney emphasized this version's real-world inspiration, contrasting with previous conceptual settings. The updated experience includes segments simulating a scenic Pacific Northwest drive.
"Our reimagined Test Track celebrates the joy of driving and creating lasting memories with loved ones," said Walt Disney Imagineering's Nathaniel Gearhart. "It's all about those special journeys that stay with you."
The immersive environment features four native tree species - Cedar, Spruce, Maple, and Oak - complemented by lush overhead foliage to authentically recreate regional landscapes.
Originally launched in 1999 and updated in 2012, Test Track 3.0 will debut after closing for renovations on June 17, 2024.
