BioWare's Stance on Dragon Age: The Veilguard DLC
Remastered Collection Remains a Possibility, Says Creative Director
According to a recent Rolling Stone article, BioWare has confirmed no current plans for Dragon Age: The Veilguard DLC. The game is considered "complete," and BioWare's focus has shifted to the next Mass Effect title.
While specific reasons for foregoing Veilguard DLC weren't detailed, Epler addressed the prospect of a Dragon Age remastered collection, similar to the Mass Effect Legendary Edition. He expressed enthusiasm for the idea but acknowledged the significant challenges involved, primarily due to the use of EA's proprietary game engines in the original Dragon Age trilogy. Epler concluded, "It’s not as straightforward as Mass Effect, but we cherish the original games. Never say never."
