Wang Yue, an upcoming fantasy ARPG, is gearing up for its technical testing phase following the acquisition of its publishing license in China. This initial test will involve a select group of players to identify bugs and gather feedback on gameplay mechanics before the game's official release.
A Fractured World
Wang Yue's technical test introduces a world ravaged by a malevolent sun, resulting in a fractured planet with two distinct continents suspended in a bizarre gravitational field. Tian Yue City, a breathtaking inverted metropolis, floats high above a desolate, ruined landscape. Players assume the role of Qing Wu, a mysterious character thrust into this chaotic reality after a betrayal. The narrative centers around unraveling the mysteries surrounding the sun's newfound reverence, the upside-down city, and the shadowy figures intent on eliminating Qing Wu.
Player Agency and Dynamic Interactions
Wang Yue breaks away from conventional open-world conventions, prioritizing exploration and player-driven narratives over repetitive quests. Players are free to explore both the skies above Tian Yue City and the secrets hidden within the ruins below. The game features dynamic NPCs who react to player actions, adding a layer of realism and consequence to choices. Misbehaving might attract unwanted attention, while acts of kindness could earn gratitude.
The development team actively seeks player input. They plan to host discussions, design contests, and other community events to encourage player participation in shaping the game's future. Registration for the technical test is now open on the official website.
