Rebel Wolves and Bandai Namco's Collaborative Venture: The Dawnwalker Saga
Anticipation Builds: More Dawnwalker Details Coming Soon
This week's announcement confirms Bandai Namco as the global publisher for Dawnwalker, a story-driven AAA action RPG launching in 2025 on PC, PS5, and Xbox. The game, set in a dark fantasy medieval Europe, is geared towards mature audiences. Further details are promised in the coming months. Established in 2022, Warsaw-based Rebel Wolves aims to redefine the RPG experience with its narrative focus.
Tomasz Tinc, Rebel Wolves' chief publishing officer, expressed excitement about the partnership, highlighting the shared values and Bandai Namco's proven success with narrative-driven RPGs. He anticipates a fruitful collaboration in bringing the Dawnwalker saga to a global audience.
Alberto Gonzalez Lorca, Bandai Namco's VP of business development, sees Dawnwalker as a significant addition to their portfolio, reinforcing their Western market strategy and global reach.
Leading the creative charge is Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz, a CD Projekt Red veteran and lead quest designer on The Witcher 3, who joined Rebel Wolves earlier this year as creative director. Co-founder and narrative director Jakub Szamalek, a 9-year CDPR writing veteran, confirms Dawnwalker as a new IP. The game's scope is anticipated to be comparable to The Witcher 3's Blood and Wine expansion, with a focus on non-linear storytelling.
Tomaszkiewicz emphasizes the game's design to offer diverse choices and replayability. He looks forward to showcasing the team's progress on this ambitious project.
