Wuthering Waves unveils its Version 2.3 update, rolling out in four distinct phases. This significant update marks both the game's first anniversary and its highly anticipated Steam debut, finally bringing the experience to PC players worldwide.
Wuthering Waves Version 2.3: Fiery Arpeggio of Summer
Players can expect an array of fresh content including new characters, story expansions, and exciting events. With a sufficient Union Level, there's approximately six weeks of content to explore starting April 29th through June 12th, 2025.
The narrative expands with two major story arcs - "A Blaze in the Dark" and "Your Summer Will Never Wither." Additionally, players will encounter new Phantom Echoes challenges featuring Crownless (including its Nightmare variant), Nimbus Wraith, and the deceptive Chest Mimic enemy type.
Anniversary celebrations include the "Gifts of Grand Celebration" login event (May 23-June 11), rewarding Radiant Tides and Moment of Resonance for Union Level 8+ players. Watch the official update trailer below for a sneak peek.
Additional login bonuses arrive through "Gifts of Grand Reunion" (April 29-June 11) and "Gifts of Melodic Verses" (June 5-19), offering valuable resources including Radiant Tide, Lustrous Tide, Astrite, Modifiers, and various upgrade materials.
Returning and New Game Modes
The fan-favorite Cubie Derby makes a comeback in two formats: as a playable leisure event and a spectator mode where players can cheer for their preferred Cubes. This dice-rolling board game offers rewards like Phantom: Chest Mimic and Flight Aspect: Laureate.
The first gacha phase features Resonators Lumi, Taoqi, and Yuanwu alongside weapons Dauntless Evernight, Overture, and Hollow Mirage, available until June 11th. Other notable events include the Solaris Film Festival and various limited-time activities.
