Rinascita is brimming with mysteries and puzzles that can be quite perplexing to solve, including the intriguing Morph Paintings. These paintings are part of two puzzle types: Overflowing Palettes and simple restoration tasks. Morph Painting Restoration puzzles are straightforward yet rewarding, especially if you're keen on gathering extra resources like Astrites in Wuthering Waves. Here's a comprehensive guide on how these puzzles function, their locations, and the steps to solve them.
Restoring Morph Paintings in Wuthering Waves
Restoring Morph Paintings is an easy task: you simply need to locate and position the correct paintings on their designated pedestals. Start by reading the descriptions on the pedestals, which will help you identify the matching portrait. Once found, use your Levitator utility to place the painting where it belongs. The game typically auto-switches to the Levitator, but you can manually equip it by pressing Tab/D-Pad Left if necessary.
Currently, there are two such paintings in the game, associated with the Shadow of the Towers: Resounding Rise and Trials of Old quests.
Shadow of the Towers: Resounding Rise Morph Painting Puzzle
As part of the Shadows of the Past questline in Wuthering Waves, you'll explore the three towers in Thorncrown - Thessaleo Falls. The Resounding Rise tower hosts a Morph Painting puzzle. To crack this puzzle, use the central large painting as your reference point and follow these steps:
- Swap the paintings in the front-left and back-right positions.
- Move the painting behind the left pedestals to the back-left spot.
- Take the painting from behind the chairs on the right and place it in the front-right position.
Upon solving the puzzle, a chest will materialize, allowing you to continue with the quest.
Trials of Old Morph Painting Puzzle
The Trials of Old quest requires you to complete four trials near Porto-Veno Castle in the eastern part of Thessaleo Fells. One of these trials, the Trial of Wisdom, features another Morph Painting puzzle. Here, you need to arrange the paintings on the pedestals to narrate a story from left to right. The solution is illustrated in the image above.
A handy tip: to confirm if you're placing the right Morph Painting on the correct pedestal, check if the painting frame illuminates after you set it down. This can help you easily navigate the puzzle's mechanics.
