ZZZ Cracks the PS5 Top 10
Zenless Zone Zero, a free-to-play action RPG, has quickly gained a significant player base on PlayStation. Following its multi-platform release, the game recently secured a top 10 position in Circana's "US Player Engagement Tracker Top 10 Titles" report, competing with established titles like Elden Ring and Minecraft. It's important to note that Circana's ranking is based on weekly user engagement, not total playtime.
Launched on July 4th, ZZZ's initial impact was substantial, reaching the #12 spot in the PS5's top 40 most-played games chart during its launch week. Further success is evident in mobile revenue; PocketGamer.biz reported nearly $52 million in gross player spending ($36.4 million net) within the first 11 days, peaking at $7.4 million on July 5th.
While not yet surpassing the overall success of miHoYo's other titles, ZZZ's performance is noteworthy, placing it alongside industry leaders like Call of Duty, Fortnite, and Roblox. The game boasts a strong 4.5/5 star rating on the Epic Games Store, with players praising its engaging boss battles and compelling narrative.
