Capital Bikeshare

Application Description

Capital Bikeshare, serving DC, Maryland, and Virginia, stands as the region's premier bike share system and the first of its kind in the nation. Boasting thousands of bikes stationed at hundreds of locations across Washington DC, Arlington, Alexandria, Tysons, Reston, Silver Spring, Takoma Park, Bethesda, and Chevy Chase, it operates around the clock, providing convenience and accessibility.

Capital Bikeshare (CaBi) features specially designed, robust bicycles secured within a network of docking stations. These bikes can be easily accessed at one station and returned to another, making them perfect for one-way journeys. Users enjoy bike sharing for commuting, leisurely rides, or exploring new areas. Trips lasting less than 30 minutes are complimentary after registration.

Through the CaBi app, users can buy rides, unlock bikes instantly, and locate nearby stations with real-time data on bike availability and docking status. Additionally, the app offers public transit schedules for WMATA Metrorail, Metrobus, shuttle services, DC Circulator buses, Fairfax Connector buses, Montgomery RideOn buses, Alexandria DASH buses, Prince George’s County TheBus buses, Arlington Regional Transit buses, VRE trains, and the Silver Line Express.

Users can purchase various options via the app, including Single Rides, Access Passes, and Memberships. Enjoy your ride!
