Naughty Dog, the renowned studio behind classics like Crash Bandicoot and Uncharted, has once again brought its critically acclaimed The Last of Us series to the forefront with the launch of The Last of Us Complete for PlayStation 5 (PS5). In a PlayStation.Blog post, Naughty Dog Head of Studio Neil Druckmann announced that a physical The Last of Us Complete Collector’s Edition will be released on July 10 for $109.99, with pre-orders now open. This edition comes packed with extras to justify the price, including a Steelbook case, game discs, The Last of Us: American Dreams comics 1 – 4, four lithographic art prints, and a heartfelt thank-you letter from Druckmann.

This is such an exciting moment for both the franchise and our teams. The Last of Us series originally debuted on the PS3 in 2013 and has since become a cherished part of the PlayStation lineup. Despite multiple re-releases and remasters, which have sparked both criticism and praise, the journey of Joel and Ellie has continued to captivate players. The adventure moved to PS4 with enhanced graphics in 2014 and was reimagined for PS5 in 2022. The Last of Us Part 2, which continued Ellie’s story, was released in 2020 and remastered in early 2024. Both titles have also made their way to PC, with The Last of Us Part 1 arriving in 2023 and The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered just last week.
