Embarking on your *Dynasty Warriors: Origins* adventure? Gems are crucial for turning the tide of battle, and crafting them is key. Here's how to acquire and utilize these powerful items.
Crafting Gems in Dynasty Warriors: Origins
Gems are craftable, equippable items, but unlocking their creation requires a few steps. After joining Liu Bei's Volunteer Army in Chapter 1, visit an Inn. You'll receive a letter from Zhang Fei, introducing Gems and their raw material: Pyroxene.
Pyroxene is found throughout the overworld as large, jewel-like formations. These spawn randomly, so explore while traveling between battles. You can also obtain Pyroxene as rewards for side quests, collecting Old Coins, and reading Inn letters, ensuring a steady supply.
Once you've gathered Pyroxene, return to an Inn to craft Gems. The crafting process is randomized. Regardless of the Pyroxene quantity used (one or ten), the resulting Gem type is random. However, a white glowing aura around a Gem in the crafting menu indicates that only that Gem type can be crafted during that visit.

Gems level up with repeated crafting. Refining enough Pyroxene into a specific Gem type enhances its benefits. These are primarily buffs, and since you initially equip only one Gem at a time, careful selection is crucial. For example, the Wellspring Gem heals you for every 100 enemies slain, ideal for large-scale battles. Conversely, the Ascendence Gem increases the chance of blocking officer attacks, proving more useful in one-on-one combat.
While these initial buffs are modest, their cumulative effect can significantly impact battle outcomes.
That's how you craft Gems in *Dynasty Warriors: Origins*.
