CrazyGames is set to launch its highly anticipated Crazy Web Multiplayer Jam 2025, commencing this week. In collaboration with Photon, the global leader in multiplayer services, this 10-day developer event invites indie creators worldwide to participate in a thrilling game development challenge.
Running from April 25th through May 5th, the event encourages developers to submit innovative web-based multiplayer games. Participants stand to win a share of €10,000 in cash prizes and premium Photon licenses, including:
- 500 CCU with Circle Starter for a year (€7,500 value)
- 500 CCU for a year (€1,500 value)
- 100 CCU for a year (€100 value)
The only requirements are that games must be created and submitted during the event period and comply with PEGI 12 rating standards. Beyond that, participants have complete creative freedom to explore their ideas.
Established in 2014, CrazyGames has become the go-to destination for free online gaming, leveraging technologies such as HTML5, JavaScript, and WebGl to deliver seamless browser-based experiences across thousands of titles. Through this partnership with Photon, CrazyGames will support participants and offer winners the chance to publish their creations on their platform.
A pre-jam livestream will take place on April 24th at 4 pm CEST on YouTube and LinkedIn, providing insights into two new WebGL platforms: Fusion and Quantum. Photon Engine’s Head of Growth, Mark Val, highlighted, “Photon has supported multiplayer WebGL for over a decade, and our new Fusion and Quantum samples make it easier than ever to build high-performance multiplayer games. We believe a WebGL game will soon rank among the world’s most visited sites, and this jam is a fantastic opportunity for innovation.”
Registration for the Crazy Web Multiplayer Jam 2025 is free and open to developers of all skill levels. For further details and registration, visit the official jam page.
