Disney Mirrorverse, the mobile action RPG featuring a unique blend of Disney and Pixar characters, is shutting down. Developer Kabam announced the game's end-of-service (EOS) date as December 16th, 2024.
The game has already been removed from the Google Play Store, and in-app purchases are disabled. Players have approximately three months of gameplay remaining before the servers are permanently closed.
A Look Back at Disney Mirrorverse
Launched in June 2022, Disney Mirrorverse offered players a chance to battle alongside reimagined Disney and Pixar heroes. While initially met with enthusiasm, the game's long beta period and infrequent content updates contributed to player attrition. Kabam recommends completing the remaining storyline before the game's closure.
The EOS Announcement: A Surprise for Fans
Despite boasting impressive character designs and graphics, the game's challenging shard collection system, requiring significant investment to fully develop characters, hindered its long-term success. The recent addition of Cinderella as a playable character and new story content just a week before the EOS announcement came as a shock to many players.
This isn't Kabam's first game closure; they previously shut down Transformers: Forged to Fight and a Marvel Contest of Champions spin-off.
